SAVOYV2_icon5_sterner_portrait

The halftone image is in portrait orientation. The image shows the head and shoulders of a woman turned to face the left side of the page, showing a three-quarters profile. She takes up the majority of the picture plane, with only a small space above her head. There is no background. She is wearing a top with a tight collar around the base of her neck, with two large ruffles on either side. The woman has large eyes that are focused straight forward from her angle, which means she looks to the left of the viewer. Her hair is divided in the middle of her head and pinned up above her ears on either side. The artist has faintly written the text: “my wife” in the bottom third of the page, aligned just to the right of the centre. Below that text, and aligned slightly more to the centre, is the text: “Aug 1895”. One more line down, the third line, has the text: “Albert E. Sterner.” written aligned to start at the centre of the first line.
