In the top left corner of the page is the hand-lettered title, “Tak Tent,” split between two lines. The leg of the “k” reaches down towards the rest of the image and ends in a spiral. A large tree begins in the bottom left corner of the image, and extends up past the top left corner before curving and reaching the top right corner. The top branch of the tree has stylized leaves, and a number of round fruits. The background of the image is filled with various patterns, some made up of lines of varying thickness, and some made up of various shapes. These represent, in ascending order: bones, fields and fences, hay stacks, sky and a tree. On the right side of the image are four boxes: the first reads “22nd Sept.” and depicts two scales; the second reads “Oct.” and depicts a scorpion; the third reads “Nov.” and depicts a person with a bow and arrow; and the fourth reads “21st Dec.” and depicts the head of a ram. Behind the trunk of the tree, a woven fence is outlined in black ink, with five birds filled with black ink. Four more birds are flying in a straight line towards the right of the image, and three birds can be seen extending out of the image in between the two middle boxes. Helen Hay’s artist’s mark appears in the lower left corner. The image is vertically displayed.
