This full-colour tailpiece illustration is centered on the page, below the text, and is unframed. In it, the Buddha sits in lotus position, facing the viewer, eyes closed, atop a grey platform. He wears an elaborate golden headdress with a red jewel at its centre, with a halo of green leaves framing his head. He has a red urna on his forehead, and wears yellow robes and a colourful jewelled chest plate. His hands, folded in his lap, hold a blue lotus flower. The artist’s initials, C.F., appear in the bottom right of the platform.
