Both women are positioned with their bodies angled slightly to the right, and are looking towards the left side of the photograph. Katherine is in the front, wearing a high-necked dress with a cape or jacket hanging on her shoulders. Her hair is short, covering the tops of her ears. It’s parted on the right side of her head, and is swept back. Edith is also wearing a high-necked dress, details are obscured in shadow. Her hair is up in a bun. Both women are slightly smiling. The photo is on a plain card, which reads “Bromhead, Clifton, Bristol” in cursive typeface at the bottom.
