PIPES OF ARCADY

Image is of a man and woman sitting against the base of a tree in a natural environment. The man and woman are playing an instrument together. The woman’s long, light hair is down, with a floral crown in it. She is wearing a long, dark dress with a spotted white pattern on it. The short sleeves of her dress are falling down her upper arms. The man is slightly behind the woman but his left arm is draped around the woman’s torso and his right arm reaches across him so that he has both hands on the pipe while the woman remains in his arms. He has dark hair, is wearing a hat, and is also barefoot. His robes are patterned with swirls and his legs are bare and exposed. The tree on which they sit has two overlapping hearts carved into it. There is a small pool of water bordered by reeds to the right of the tree. There are two sheep leaping in front of the man and woman. There are more sheep in the background of the image. The image reproducer’s signature, “Hare Sc” is in the lower-left corner. The author’s signature is in the lower-right corner. The image is vertically displayed with a bounding box of two thin black lines.
