This is a sepia photograph of A. E. Housman when he was 35 years old. Housman’s face is in profile facing right and his body is turned towards centre. He is wearing a dark coloured dress jacket, a similarly coloured buttoned up vest, a collared shirt, and puff tie with a pin. Housman has short dark hair parted in the centre of his head and slicked down. He has medium length sideburns and a moustache with the corners extending just below the corners of his lips. Housman’s mouth is slightly opened.
