This hand-coloured, unframed, full-page illustration is centered on its page. At the top of the image, a large red angelic figure with wings looks down on, and embraces, a gray cliff. The angel has a circle of seven stars above their head, and is positioned with their head, tilted to their right, lying upon their crossed arms. A green tree with brown branches and roots grows out of the cliff, covering it. At its base is a gray brick fountain, at which a naked couple kneels, facing away from the viewer; their genders are not discernible. The artist’s monogram is in the lower right. Beneath the image, the title is printed: “The Fountain of Faithful Lovers.”
